What Couples Want You to Know on Their Wedding Day

There are so many things that go through couple's heads on their wedding day and a lot of them are left unsaid. I've been fortunate to document many weddings over the years and I've picked up on some trends from couples regarding what they want to say to their guests. Now these aren't the only things they want to say, trust me, there is a ton more. However, these are what I've noticed the most and think should be shared. Because not every couple will speak up and say it, so let me help you!

SHOW UP EARLY we don’t want you to miss a single moment, especially at the ceremony. This is a big milestone for us and we want you to witness it all! It also can be super distracting and take away from the moment we've been waiting for if you wander into the ceremony half way through. Believe us, we know that things happen and life gets in the way! But please try to get there on time or even better, a little early!

PUT YOUR PHONES AWAY be in this moment with us. We want to see your faces when we look out at all of the people who helped us get where we are today. Even though you want to get those pictures of us in that moment, we ask that you just be present and enjoy what we've waited and planned for so long for. We also don't want to have to look around phones to see our partner coming down the aisle. Here you can note that "We have a photographer to document all of these perfect moments, so just be present with us. We promise to share all of the photos!"


WE WANT YOU ON THE DANCE FLOOR we’ve been waiting to celebrate with you for months! We want to dance, sing, cry and laugh with you on the dance floor. Have fun with us! Not to mention, we spent a lot of time researching DJ's, building a bangin' playlist all so that you could have the best possible experience with us. We want to celebrate and dance the night away with the people who we love and who love us the most. Get up out of those chairs!

And last but certainly not least...


WE’RE GLAD YOU’RE HERE even if we don’t get the time to talk to you, we’re so grateful that you are able to come celebrate us at our wedding! We may get caught up in the moment and be completely enjoying ourselves, but just know that we whole-heartedly wanted you to be here with us. You have in some way shape or form helped to shape our love story and we wouldn't be here today without you!


Wedding days are hectic, emotional, overwhelming and absolutely magical. It's impossible to not get caught up in the emotion of it all. To all past and future couples planning their wedding days, we know what you are doing for everyone in trying to make this one of the most memorable days of your lives together.
